This is a high speed 16GB USB flash drive, we have used our own guide, to create a installer USB for MacOS High Sierra.

We are not selling MacOS High Sierra, you can download and install MacOS for free. However Apple have made it harder to install the latest OS on your Mac. A installer USB makes life easier. Use the link above if you want to create your own USB installer for free.

Fresh install
If you want to install High Sierra, and you have a new drive installed in your Mac, all you have to do is plug in this USB and start the Mac. The USB should build MacOS Utilities page. From there use Disk Utilities to initialise the drive (APFS format). Then install new MacOS.
If you get a question mark or a spinning globe of the world, shut the mac doen (holding down power button for 5 seconds) and restart Mac holding down option key. A yellow drive should appear called High Sierra OS installer. Click on that drive.

 Cloning with OWC Envoy case
If you are cloning with a OWC Envoy case with a new Aura X SSD, we recommend you use a Mojave or High Sierra installer USB. Install new SSD, put old SSD in the Envoy. Plug in the USB Mac OS installer and turn on the Mac. The USB should build MacOS Utilities page. From there use Disk Utilities to initialise the new Aura X SSD (APFS format). Plug Envoy into a spare USB port. Using Disk Utlities, select the new Aura X from the left hand window. Click on Restore button on top menu. The choose Restore from: and select your original SSD that is in the Envoy case.
Please note both drives must be of the same format type (APFS) to do a restore.

Restoring from Time Machine
If you are restoring from Time Machine, you can use this USB to boot the Mac into OS Utilities page.
The procedure would be: Install new SSD. Restart Mac with USB Mac OS installer. The USB should build MacOS Utilities page. From there use Disk Utilities to initialise the new SSD using the correct disk format. After the drive is erased, go to the OS Utilities option Restore from Time Machine. Plug your Time Machine into USB or if it is a Time Capsule connect the capsule to the Mac using a network cable. The Time Machine should appear in what is available to restore. Follow onscreen instructions to restore.
